This past march, the afternoon students worked together on creating ¨Alfombras¨ which are the traditional colored rugs that are made in preperation for Holy Week, Semana Santa. People stay up the whole night before Good Friday preparing Alfombras for the processions the following day. They use colored saw dust to create these intricate and magnificant paths for the processions. Our students used colored paper to create their own, original Alfombras.
