Theater with the moms!

This past family meeting, three students from the theater class presented two scenes about tolerance in the family unit.  One scene was about a mother discussing sex with her daughter and the other scene was about a daughter accepting her fathers new girlfriend.  After the scenes were performed, the girl spoke to the mothers openly about difficult topics and answered all their questions.  These types of activities promote confidence, pride, and an open forum of dicussion between parents and their children.  Which in return, strengthens family connections and the ability to communicate all ideas and solutions.
